Kate had to be induced early so we were both a bit apprehensive about it (heard the bad stories, worried she wouldn’t get the water birth she wanted etc) but it couldn’t have gone any better really.
Especially with her being induced we were really lucky, she was induced Saturday morning and she had had Margot by Sunday 08:19. She was in the pool about an hour and a half from waters breaking to birth!
She practiced everything we learnt with you & used it in labour – Kate completely relaxed in the water and zoned out just focusing on the breathing techniques we discussed, Paula(midwife) just left us too it as she’s seen how well Kate was doing.
We were only in the pool for hour and a half and baby was out, within that time Kate even fell asleep between contractions she was that relaxed, it went so fast. We just want to thank you for the amazing lessons you gave us. Paula’s words ‘ I’ve never seen someone just breathe a baby out’.
