I fell pregnant unexpectedly first time around so naturally and very naively assumed that it would be equally… Continue Reading

Healing third labour

Healing third labour

I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl on the 26th February 2020. This was my third baby. I already have a boy and a girl. My first delivery was entirely natural but long and tiring. My second delivery was by induction and very different being intense and quick. I was also induced with my… Continue Reading

Calm second birth

Calm second birth

I have had two very different but amazing births. My first was longer due to my little boy being born “back to back”. I was actually told by my midwife that she was surprised that I was able to deliver him myself with no intervention, as he was my first, but due to the breathing… Continue Reading

Positive VBAC

Positive VBAC

I started to use hypnobirthing at around 18 weeks pregnant and continued daily, surrounding myself with positive affirmations and enjoying the down time of relaxations. Due to our baby being IVF and a previous C-section with our son, my pregnancy was classed as high risk. I had agreed to a stretch and sweep if needed… Continue Reading

I really enjoyed my time with Kerry learning new techniques to help put my mind at ease about labour and birth and all the different scenarios that can take place when its time for the baby to be here. I feel so much better being able to go through the rest of my pregnancy feeling more in control and ready for whatever happens next. Kerry is so easy to get on with and it felt like talking to a friend every week, which was great! I would definitely recommend Hypnobirthing to other mums to be in future.

Our Aim

The Calm births course uses a combination of Hypnobirthing techniques and practical antenatal education. We will ensure you are familiar with the physical and hormonal changes that take place within your body during labour and learn to embrace those feelings. These tools along with other practical techniques for you and your birth partner to use include, deep relaxation, simple breathing techniques and light touch massage, our aim is to support and empower you to achieve your own calm, beautiful birth, what ever that may look like, whether that be a vaginal or a C-section birth, hypnobirthing can have such a positive impact.

Molly’s Birth

Molly’s Birth

It started with very mild contractions on Wednesday evening. I woke up on Thursday and these had got a little stronger. I phoned the birth centre to make them aware and they agreed that I was in very early labour and to start timing contractions and call back in a couple of hours with an… Continue Reading

Amazing delivery followed by a SCBU stay

Hypnobirthing classes First baby, not a clue about birth or even how to care for a baby, so booking sessions with Kerry was the best thing we ever did. My initial thought was that hypnobirthing would involve holding crystals whilst chanting the baby down the birth canal with voodoo rituals – It’s really not. Hypnobirthing… Continue Reading

Positive induction

Positive induction

Induction I went in the hospital to be induced at 41 + 4 weeks after 3 unsuccessful sweeps and testing out all the natural ways to bring on labour from 37 weeks (dates, raspberry leaf tea & lots of walking!!).   I had the pessary inserted at 10am on the 16th Feb, nothing happening throughout… Continue Reading
